BEST ALBUMS OF 2009

(Everyone are doing it, so we thought to do the same):
Here are the best albums of 2009 as the UK DARKNESS CREW see it (not in any particular order):

LAMB OF GOD – Wrath: not the best album of the band that’s for sure, but since Lamb of God is one of our favorite bands, and the fact that we don’t think 2009 had lots of good music, this album must be on this list.

MEGADETH – Endgame: there is no doubt; this album is one of the best Megadeth albums of all times. Some 20 years after, they released a great album. DAVE MUSTAINE was always problematic, both as a singer and a person, and after the fiasco on METALLICA’s some kind of monster movie he had to take whatever left of his 18 years broken ginger ego and put it on a record. We are so thankful that he did. ENDGAME is the shit! One of the best albums of 2009!!

ALICE IN CHAINSE – Black gives way to blue: not only that this album is one of the best albums of the year, it’s an important one. As we at the UK DARKNESS CREW say “take all the time you need”. Alice took it. They knew how much is at stake – if the new album after Layne will not be good enough they will die. This album is the surprise of the last ten years. Great songs with new singer that rock!!

THE DEAD WEATHER – Horehound: there is something right about JACK WHITE and ALISON MUSSHART. The correlation of whites’ guitar sound and THE KILLS vocalist singing is out there. Someone had to glue those guys together and put them in a studio. We think it’s the best project Jack done.

SLAYER – World painted blood: not much to say. The best thing is that Slayer released it. This album is far from being one of their best one, but it did good for metalheads around the world, and it’s an important step for good metal music.

HATEBREED – For the lions: just when one will think Hatebreed songs sounds all the same, no matter how great they are, they released this one. And for crying out loud it’s a good one! Out of respect, this band that we could have never heard about got to be huge, recorded cover versions of songs which made Hatebreed what they are today.

we will love to know what u think, what are your albums of the year?
